Bywater Call returns to Elkton Music Hall! Billy Walton Band from NJ opens.
Meghan Parnell and Dave Barnes lead **Bywater Call,** a dynamic 7-piece Southern Soul and Roots Rock band from Toronto, Canada. Formed in 2017, the band has earned Maple Blues and Independent Blues Award nominations and made a significant impact on the Canadian Festival Circuit.
Meghan was featured at the Women’s Blues Review at Toronto’s Roy Thompson Hall in November 2021. Their sophomore album, released on September 2, 2022, showcases an evolved sound while maintaining their core values of raw emotion and strong musicianship.
The band, completed by Bruce McCarthy (drums), Mike Meusel (bass), John Kervin (keys), Stephen Dyte (trumpet), and Julian Nalli (tenor sax), continues to captivate audiences with their powerful performances.
Billy Walton developed his musical chops in the bars up and down the Jersey Shore. A 5 year term as the guitarist for Southside Johnny positioned Billy as someone to carry the Asbury Park sound for years to come. Billy’s version includes a sonic mix of rock, soul, blues, and psychedelic jams!
