Business After Hours is a free event that’s open to the public and gives both community and business members the chance to create/maintain business and community relationships, generate referrals, and learn about upcoming events in our area.
Dreez opened its doors in May 2017, and serves up classic American breakfast and lunch every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The building itself has been feeding Elko for generations. Before Dreez, it briefly housed Redneck and Frenchman, and for more than 30 years it was home to the beloved Basque restaurant Biltoki. Go back even further to the 1970s, and locals remember it as the Iron Horse, the neighborhood’s go-to pizza joint.
This building has worn many hats, but one thing has never changed—the people who kept it buzzing with life. Each chapter paved the way for the next, eventually creating the foundation that allowed Dreez to launch and thrive.
Today, Dreez is owned and operated by Jonathan and Audrey Karr, longtime local business owners who have shaped several Elko favorites. Since purchasing Telescope Lanes in 2007, they’ve expanded their footprint to include the Blind Onion Pizzeria, Silver Street Creamery, and, in 2023, The Klub at Ruby View.
