Our next hike in Let's Hike Limestone is a little more advanced and will be covering the full length of Richard Martin Trail– 10.2 miles.
What to Know:
1. This is an easy-paced, relatively flat hike, but it is long—over 10 miles. It is suitable for those who can walk several miles.
2. We will meet at the old white church in Veto– 30381 Bob Coffman Road will get you to the area. Please park in the grass by the church, not on people’s lawns.
3. Meet at the church at 9am. The shuttle will leave at 9:15.
4. A shuttle will bring us back to the start of the Richard Martin Trail at the Coffman Mitchell Park in Piney Chapel and we will begin our walk.
5. We will be stopping halfway in Elkmont for rest and refueling. You can purchase food or beverages there and there are bathrooms.
6. We will finish at our cars at the state line—10.2 miles!
7. NO animals allowed—we will be taking the shuttle and can’t bring animals on it.
8. Bring water, any sunscreen, meds, or other necessities that you need.
9. If there is thunder/lightning, we will not have the hike.
It’s FREE, but you must pre-register and sign a waiver. If you have more than 1 in your party, EACH person must fill out this registration form for liability purposes (including all children under the age of 18.)
