# Event Details - **Event Name**: Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 05 Feb, 2027 at 07:00 pm (-05:00) - **Event Description**: Catapult is, technically, a shadow dance company. What it really is: a theatrical art form that is an amazingly imaginative combination of dance, story-telling, and sculpture. Founded in 2009, by Adam Battlestein (choreographer, Creative Director and Master Teaching Artist for Pilobolus Dance Theatre for 19 years), Catapult catapulted to fame on Season 8 of America’s Got Talent, earning their way to the finals of the NBC-TV hit show. Catapult is all about the human body and its ability to transform. The talented Catapult dancers work behind a screen to create seemingly impossible dancing shadow silhouettes of shapes from the world around us. You won’t believe your eyes as you watch these incredible dancers become a mountain, a full size elephant, a helicopter, a house with a window and people inside the window. You will never figure out how they do it, and you won’t know what they will make next – you will be surprised and delighted again and again. Audiences of all ages love what appear to be effortless transformations and applaud over and over as more and more unbelievable images appear. Catapult’s “Magic Shadows” show is packed with hundreds of shape transformations, and it is full of humor, emotion, and fully realized stories engagingly told through music and shadows. With the arc of an arm, the point of a toe or the twist of a torso, Catapult’s dancers stretch their bodies, and your imaginations, telling stories with humor and pathos by transforming magically from one shape to another. See Vivaldi’s Four Seasons spring to life, be amazed as you watch their bodies transform into a mountain, an elephant, a dragon even a helicopter, and travel the world from Paris to Beijing in under 10 minutes! Animated by the dancers’ shadows, every cinematic scene in Magic Shadows is a kaleidoscope of colorful storytelling that will awe and astound you. A great show for the whole family – full of laughs, emotions and miraculous transformations. You will leave this show dazed and happy, and you will never look at your own shadow the same way again! - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/elkhart/friends-of-the-lerner-presents-catapult-magic-shadows/200030804110254 - **Event Categories**: art, theatre, storytelling, magic-show - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 18 ## Ticket Details ## Event venue details - **city**: Elkhart - **state**: IN - **country**: United States - **location**: 410 S Main St, Elkhart, IN, United States, Indiana 46516 - **lat**: 41.68391 - **long**: -85.97131 - **full address**: 410 S Main St, Elkhart, IN, United States, Indiana 46516 ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events6/banners/0cace4a8c939bb293bcddddfc7e4233b349113086248fd5da2d23fe10675e191-rimg-w1200-h675-dc080808-gmir?v=1791443454 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows being held? - **A:** Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows takes place on Fri, 05 Feb, 2027 at 07:00 pm to Fri, 05 Feb, 2027 at 07:00 pm at 410 S Main St, Elkhart, IN, United States, Indiana 46516. - **Q**: Who is organizing Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows? - **A:** Friends of The Lerner Presents: Catapult - Magic Shadows is organized by The Lerner Theatre. - **Q**: What has been the experience of attendees at The Lerner Theatre's events? - **A:** Attendees have given The Lerner Theatre a rating of 4.75/5 based on reviews from early attendees on AllEvents.
