- **Event Description**: It’s almost time for FCEG’s annual habitat restoration workday at Busse Woods! We’ll be assisting at workday on Saturday, November 8 from 9am to 12pm. Lunch will be served by 12pm, so plan to stick around.

Volunteers will be working to restore a unique, rich, and diverse habitat by removing invasive plants, such as buckthorn.

Location: Busse Woods South entrance. South side of Higgins Rd, just west of Arlington Heights Rd. Grove 11.  Look for the volunteer signs.(https://maps.app.goo.gl/uuSd4RnKBFLjxRS58)

What to bring/expect:
• Please bring a water bottle, wear long pants, long sleeved shirt, socks, and sturdy shoes. Be prepared to work off trail.
• We will be removing invasive brush with hand tools and burning it on a bonfire

Here are some other details to be aware of:
• Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age
• Tools and gloves will be provided
• Refreshments and lunch will be provided
