Meet Our Community Helpers
🕤 9:30–10:00 AM
🎟️ Included with general museum admission
👶 Children under 2 are free
👨👩👧👦 All ages welcome | Especially great for young learners
Join us for Meet Our Community Helpers, a special program designed to help children learn about the people in our community who help keep us safe, healthy, and supported every day.
Each session features a visit from a real-life community helper — such as firefighters, police officers, nurses, mail carriers, construction workers, utility workers, and more presented in a friendly, age-appropriate way.
Through conversation, simple demonstrations, and hands-on exploration, children will:
🧡Learn who community helpers are and what they do
🧡Understand how helpers support our community
🧡Become familiar with uniforms, tools, and vehicles
🧡Build confidence by meeting helpers in a calm, welcoming environment
This program is especially meaningful for young children who may feel curious or even a little unsure about community helpers. Meeting helpers face-to-face helps reduce fear, build trust, and create positive associations in a safe, supportive setting.
While Meet Our Community Helpers is geared toward early learners, all ages are welcome, and siblings are encouraged to attend.
🧡 This program is included with regular museum admission and is a great way to spark curiosity, encourage conversation, and help children better understand the world around them.
