- **Event Description**: The City of Elizabethtown will commemorate Veterans Day with a motorcade and the annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Veterans are invited to participate in the a motorcade which begins at the American Legion Park, located at 801 North Miles Street in Elizabethtown, and concludes at the American Legion Hardin Post 113, which is located at 1251 Ring Road in Elizabethtown.  Participants are encouraged to arrive for line up no later than 9:45-10:00am as the motorcade led by the Elizabethtown Police Department will begin at 10:15am.  The motorcade will travel out of the American Legion Park and proceed up North Miles Street, turning left on Ring Road and proceeding to the American Legion Hardin Post 113, where the ceremony will take place.  

 The ceremony will begin sharply at 11:00am with the Posting of the Colors to commemorate the signing of the Armistice (first Veterans Day) on November 11, 1918, at the end of World War I.  The keynote speaker will be Joe Garrett, Commander, Department of Kentucky American Legion. 

The ceremony typically lasts 30-45 minutes.  This event is free and open to the public.  

The ceremony is a coordinated effort between the City of Elizabethtown and American Legion Hardin Post 113.
