- **Event Description**: Join the Tri-County Conewago Creek Association and Penn State Agricultural and Environment Center to tend to a 15 year old buffer.About this EventJoin us as we tend to a 15 year old buffer along the Conewago Creek at the Old Trolly Line Park. We'll be preforming routine buffer maintenance including, removing tree tubes, straightening stakes, removing bird nets, checking mortality, and cleaning up litter. These are all essential to the health and success of riparian buffer! Your help will ensure that this buffer matures and continues to remove pollution, create habitat, and protect our watershed. All materials will be provided. But please wear boots and clothing you can get dirty in. We'll be walking about a 1/2 mile to the site from the parking area. The buffer and surrounding area has tall grass, vegetation, and may be muddy. Participants are also encouraged to bring any water and snacks they may want throughout the event. Thank you for your help and assistance with improving the Conewago Creek Watershed. We look forward to seeing you!
