WHAT: Topics will include . . .
Vitality Thru Empowerment: Review research about the benefits of part-time (PT) ministry for churches and clergy and get excited about possibilities by hearing real stories of PT ministry models enhancing congregational vitality!
Changing Mindsets: Learn to name and analyze what’s hampering vitality in your own setting and how to appreciate your setting’s strengths while mobilizing the use of spiritual gifts in your church body.
Let’s Workshop It: Put ideas from sessions one and two into action, using congregational case studies to see how PT strategies bear fruit, and gain awareness of vitality-supporting tools in your toolbox.
HOW: Register by Tuesday, April 14!
Cost is $40 per participant, or take advantage of a $10 per person discount if 3 or more attend from your congregation ($30/person, $90 for 3). *0.3 CEUs will be available for an additional $10 for ordained ministers from districts who partner with SVMC.*
About the Presenter: G. Jeffrey MacDonald is an award-winning religion reporter, UCC pastor, church educator and author of Part-Time is Plenty: Thriving without Full-Time Clergy. His reporting has appeared in USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The Boston Globe and The Living Church. He’s currently serving part-time as designated pastor of First Congregational Church of Rowley, Mass.
