Small Business Saturday – November 29, 2025
Small Business Saturday is a national initiative started by American Express that brings attention to the importance of shopping local in our communities. Elizabeth City Downtown, Inc. and individual small businesses are organizing a day of fun activities and experiences in the downtown area, from holiday music to decorated window displays, treats at various businesses, Santa Claus 🎅, and SALES!!! 🛍️
NOTE: Small businesses have varying hours. The 10am - 2pm timeframe for this event is the timeframe that Elizabeth City Downtown, Inc. (ECDI) will have an information booth with free swag and Santa will be roaming. Most businesses will have earlier doorbusters and will stay open later in the day.

--Activities: Santa Claus; Shop Local Station with Freebies, maps, hot cocoa, holiday music; special events in the various businesses
--Shopping: Special discounts in our downtown businesses
--Especially for Kids Events: Play time, science activities, story times, wandering Santa, and more!
--Dining and Drinks: Enjoy a lunch or sips at one of our many downtown restaurants
