That This Nation Shall Live brings together powerful contemporary works by American composers Stacy Garrop (Terra Nostra) and Marques L.A. Garrett (Earth Song). These moving pieces explore the beauty, fragility, and resilience of our world—and the responsibility we share to care for it.

This special performance features collaborations with the Elgin Youth Choir and a children’s chorus from Hampshire Middle School, uniting voices across generations in a celebration of music and community.

We are also proud to partner with The Conservation Foundation (Batavia), the Elgin Sustainability Commission, and Art for All, connecting this program to meaningful work happening right here in our community.
