In this presentation, Dr. Antonio Ramirez, professor of history at Elgin Community College, will share histories of struggle and triumph from Elgin's Latino community.

Dr. Antonio Ramirez is Associate Professor of History at Elgin Community College where he teaches courses in U.S. history, Latinx history, and American government. Ramirez has worked as a journalist, educator, and community organizer across the Midwest and Mexico. He currently directs the Chicagolandia Oral History Project which documents the history of the lives, work, and culture of Latino suburban communities around Chicago.
