Inspired by the work of Sir George Reid RSA in our collection, we’ll create observational sketches, in monochrome, using a variety of materials to capture a unique record of our journey.Known mainly for being a portrait painter, George Reid was also noted for his black and white (monochrome) works, using pen & ink and watercolours sketches.This event is being run as part of the RSA200: Celebrating Together, a year of events celebrating the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Scottish Academy.Suitable for ages 18+No previous drawing experience requiredAll materials will be providedPlease dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day (layers, hat / sunglasses, sunscreen) and wear comfortable shoes for walking. If you have a small folding or portable stool, feel free to bring this with you. Please bring any water / snacks you may require.
