If you'd like to join, please go to our website, PleinAirWashingtonArtists.com.Facilitator: Justina Calamia Email: justcalamia@gmail.com Cell Phone:206-979-0563Enjoy the desert in the spring and paint at two unique state parks; lakes, wildflowers, dramatic rock structures, including the famous Steamboat Rock, and Dry Falls (remnant of the largest waterfall known to have existed on earth). Also opportunities for hiking, boating, fishing, birding, star gazing, etc.We will paint in and around the Banks Lake/Steamboat rock area Friday and Saturday and then on Sunday and Monday we will move to the Sun Lakes/ Dry Falls State Park, which is another scoured and interesting landscape. There are many very paintable scenes at both parks within easy walkable or short driving distance.If you plan to join this paint out it is strongly recommended that you book your accomodation/camp ground as soon as possible. Steamboat campground in particular fills up early in the year.General - Everyone bring their own breakfasts & lunches, as well as a potluck dish for two dinners. Steamboat Rock State Park is on Highway 155 between Coulee City and Electric City. Sun Lakes/Dry Falls State Park is on Highway 17 about 7-8 miles west southwest of Coulee City.Other notes about this event: A Discover Pass is needed for each park. These are popular state parks so make your reservations early. Both parks have automated pay stations where you can buy day passes or annual passes.If you signed up and find you can't attend after all, please cancel on Eventbrite so that the facilitator may have a proper head count.
