Join us as we continue to build on our partnership in Turkana, Kenya! 

Since 2022, we've been working to provide holistic support to high school students in the region. After launching our first summer camp in 2024, we're returning in 2026 to host another encouraging week of camp for our sponsored students and a workshop for local pastors.

Trip Details:
When: Tentatively June 20 - July 1, 2026. Final dates will be confirmed once we have booked the most affordable flights.
Where: Just outside of Lodwar, in Turkana County, Kenya.
Cost: $4,000. We will hold fundraisers to help cover a significant portion of this cost through generous donations.
Who: We're looking for individuals who love Jesus, have a heart for high school students, and are in good health. This trip can be physically demanding due to long travel days, desert heat, and limited air conditioning.
Language in Turkana: The local languages are Turkanan and Swahili. English is a second language for many, and we'll have translators available to help with communication.
Requirements: A current passport, malaria pills, and the following vaccinations: MMR, Hep A & B, Yellow Fever, and Typhoid.
Training: There will be eight mandatory training meetings held on Sundays from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., starting in February 2026.

What You'll Do
The primary focus of this trip is to connect with the high school students we sponsor. You'll help us host a three-day camp at a church in the village of Chokchok. The camp will be filled with worship, Bible teaching, small-group discussions, shared meals, and plenty of games to build friendships and foster trust. At the same time, we will hold a pastors' workshop for the 10 local pastors who oversee the students. You'll have the opportunity to participate in this training. You will be partnered with a Kenyan and possibly another American to lead small groups, play games, do crafts with the students, and share your personal story of following Jesus. Your presence and time spent with them will be a Christian light in their lives.
