VNTRbirds BACKCOUNTRY BASICS - ELDORA RESORT

Embarking on your backcountry journey requires both education and experience with your equipment, as well as knowledge of avalanche safety. VNTRbirds has designed this Backcountry Basics course specifically for women who are new to the backcountry. Learn touring techniques, optimize your equipment use, and much more from experienced instructors.

This special edition of our Backcountry Basics course takes place within Eldora Resort, offering a more controlled and supportive environment for those new to touring. We’ll skin and descend right on the resort, giving you access to avalanche-mitigated terrain. It’s the perfect setting for anyone eager—but a little hesitant—to explore beyond the ropes. Let’s build your skills, confidence, and stoke together before heading fully into the backcountry.

An Ikon or Eldora pass is required to participate.

This is a women specific backcountry basics course. We always welcome femme, transgender and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a femme-centered space.
