❤️ A PROJECT WITH A SPECIAL HISTORY

Adopt A Grandparent for Christmas began in 2015, when Destiny Presswood held the title of World Preteen Miss Gulf Shores Tourism 2015.

With the help of her mother, Katrina Parker, Destiny started this project with one simple mission: to bring Christmas joy, love, and companionship to senior citizens in our community and remind them that they are not forgotten during the holiday season.

Now, more than a decade later, we are excited to continue that mission for Christmas 2026! 🎄🎁

We are currently accepting facility and individual applications!

We would love to hear from:

❤️ Nursing homes
❤️ Assisted living facilities
❤️ Senior living communities
❤️ Other facilities serving senior citizens
❤️ Individual grandparents and senior citizens in our community who may be alone, struggling financially, or simply in need of a little extra love this Christmas

🎁 HELP US MAKE SURE NO SENIOR FEELS FORGOTTEN

This Christmas season, we are inviting our entire community to come together and spread love, kindness, and holiday cheer to local seniors.

Community members, families, businesses, churches, schools, organizations, and community groups are invited to “adopt” a grandparent and help make their Christmas a little brighter.

Many seniors spend the holidays alone. Together, we can remind them that their community remembers, appreciates, and cares about them. ❤️
