NYLT is an exciting, week-long experience designed to help Scouts build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and bring new ideas back to their home units. Through hands-on activities, team challenges, and outdoor adventure, participants will learn what it takes to be an effective leader—while having an unforgettable time at camp.

? Who Can Attend?

NYLT is open to:

Scouts BSA, Venturers, and Sea Scouts who are current or future youth leaders
Scouts BSA must be 13+ and First Class or higher, and have completed ILST
Venturers/Sea Scouts must be 14+ (or 13 & completed 8th grade) and have completed ILSC/ISLS
Participants should have basic camping and outdoor experience

A Unit Leader recommendation is required prior to attending.

A full week of immersive leadership training
Fun, challenging activities in a supportive environment
Opportunities to build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
A program grounded in the Scout Oath and Law—welcoming, inclusive, and positive for all

Health forms (Parts A, B & C) are required and submitted online before camp
All eligibility requirements must be completed before arrival (no exceptions, no refunds)
