- **Event Description**: Join us for a colorful day of creativity at the Rockin’ the River Festival on May 2, 2026! Artists of all ages are invited to transform the sidewalks of downtown Elba into vibrant works of art in our Sidewalk Chalk Competition.

Participants will create original chalk artwork during the festival while visitors stroll through and watch the artwork come to life along the river.

Categories include:
• Elementary
• High School
• Collegiate
• Adult

🏆 $50 Cash Prize awarded to one winner in each category.

Participation is free, but we ask that artists pre-register so we can reserve enough space for everyone. Artists are encouraged to bring their own chalk and supplies, as well as tents, sunscreen, or anything else needed to stay comfortable while creating.

Whether you're a student, hobby artist, or professional, this is a fun way to share your creativity and be part of the festival atmosphere.
