🌅 New Year’s Day Hike – North Franklin Peak
📅 January 1st | 🕗 Start Time: 8:30 AM sharp.
📍 Trailhead: Cottonwood Trailhead
🥾 Distance: approx 7 miles
⚠️ Dificulty: Hard we will go up through the ridge, down through the switchback.
Kick off 2025 with a fresh start and one of the best views in El Paso! I’ll be hiking to the top of North Franklin Peak, the highest point in the Franklin Mountains. Welcome to join me!
This will be a challenging but rewarding hike, perfect for anyone wanting to start the year strong—physically and mentally.
✨ What to Expect:
• Steady climb with beautiful desert views
• Great pace for all motivated hikers
• Breaks as needed(hike your hike)
• Amazing summit photo opportunity
👟 What to Bring:
• Plenty of water (at least 2–3 liters)
• Snacks/Electrolytes
• Layered clothing (it gets cold/windy at the top)
• Sturdy hiking shoes
• Trekking poles if you use them
