The Great American Steakhouse in Vinton, TX, has a history dating back to the original Great American Land and Cattle Co. restaurant, which began in El Paso in 1977. In 2005, the Vinton location was sold to Eduardo Orozco and his family, who purchased the rights to the name and began expanding the business. Under their ownership, the restaurants were rebranded to the Great American Steakhouse name, and they've since expanded to include locations in Mexico and other parts of El Paso.
