Where does it abide? We do not have to go searching at the top of a mountain or by taking mind altering substances…all of those qualities are found within our personal Mandala of the Body, our personal Mandala of Wisdom.We can access these Mandalas through understanding ourselves as manifestations of the Universal Feminine and Masculine energies. In this class we will be focusing on the Feminine, manifesting as the 5 Wisdom Dakinis or Enlightened Elemental aspects of the Mandala.In a time of increasing trouble and uncertainty we are finding it more difficult to access our inner Mandala and find balance and clarity. This six week course is based on the Tibetan Buddhist model of balancing the enlightened elemental beings that we all are, by accessing the Enlightened Elemental Beings that are a part of our very nature. This method is based on the writings of Lama Tsultrim Allione in her bookWISDOM RISING.We will be introduced to the 5 Wisdom Dakini’s, as Lama Tsultrim explains in her book WISDOM RISING: “The Sanskrit word DAKINI in Tibetan becomes KHANDRO, which means “SKY DANCER”, literally “she who moves through space. The Dakini is the most important manifestation of the feminine in Tibetan Buddhist Teaching”In this introductory course we will explore each of the 5 elements found In the four directions and the center of the mandala through meditation, movement, journaling and art, focusing on the qualities of each element and how they work (or don’t work) in our daily lives.This is not therapy, this is simple exploration of the possibilities that exist within each of us.Christine Rossi is a Certified Facilitator in the Mandala Method and will be leading each practice.The schedule is designed to lead participants through each of the Elements each week, finishing with a completion of the entire Mandala by the 6th session.No experience with Meditation or Buddhism is necessary as this method is designed to work independently from any traditional mindfulness or prayer practice.In order to promote community and personal interaction, this is an in-person class only.
