Winter is coming, so it's time for the annual Beaconsgate Boar Hunt and Feast sponsored by the Province of the Mists! We are thrilled to be back at Camp Herms—the hunt's historic home. Boar Hunt is a historic event within the Principality of the Mists. With fighting throughout the day for both the Heavy and Steel Communities followed by a feast in the evening for all.
For the fighting portion, the heavies select one of their number to serve as a ‘boar.’ The boar is chased around the grounds of Camp Herms while the ‘hunters’ try and dispatch it. Members of the steel community will be having a ‘Stag Hunt’ at the same time during the day.
Non fighters, including children and an accompanying adult, can serve as ‘dogs.’ They can help locate the boar for the hunters, but they can only ‘point’ and ‘bark’—no fighting, no talking.
Is it silly? Maybe. Is it fun? Well, the hunt has been going on for 20+ years, so ‘yes?’

The day's hours are expected to be from 9:00 am–9:00 pm.
