Imperial Valley Pride is a vibrant celebration held on the 2nd Saturday of October, marking the joyous milestone of the grand opening of the now known Donnelly Community Services Center. The inaugural Pride event took place in 2015, uniting around 400 spirited individuals in a festive gathering. Set against the backdrop of the center's parking lot, the day was alive with the energy of music, dazzling performances, and food vendors, all while various agencies came together to show their support.
In the following year, we took the celebration to the heart of the community on Main Street in El Centro, between 6th and 7th Streets. This spirited event featured bands and live performances, a whimsical children’s area, a lively beer garden, and an expanded selection of vendors. As the years flowed by, we transformed our Pride into a larger spectacle, migrating to the welcoming embrace of Stark Field Park on 4th Street. After two more vibrant years, we found the perfect home for our flourishing celebration at Bucklin Park, located at the intersection of 8th and Ross, right behind the Donnelly Community Services Center.
Every year, the event blossoms in size and enthusiasm, drawing in more and more participants eager to celebrate diversity and community. We warmly invite you to join us on Saturday, October 11, at 4:00 PM at Bucklin Park in El Centro for an unforgettable day of unity!
Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music, dancing, food, games, and much more. This is a FREE event for the entire family.
