Conversation on Iran, Gaza, Lebanon and Syria		

On Sunday September 14th, between 14h and 15:30h at the Classroom in the Van Abbemuseum, you can join in a conversation to share your insights on the recent attacks of the USA and Israel on Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. We will discuss how these relate to the Kurdish Women’s Movement, and how they feed into dehumanisation of the bombarded peoples.
 
The event will take the form of a presentation by Yassamine Mather (University of Oxford) and Iman Ganji (Freie Universität Berlin), followed by ample time for an interactive discussion with the audience. It will be a fine gathering with lots of insights and togetherness.

The series of conversations ‘Accountability without borders’ aims to create room for coping with the despair around the growing imperialism in the world, with the impunity of Israel and the United States in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Iran, and how this connects to our daily life, including right-wing populism, militarisation of the industry and of education, state surveillance, war mongering, climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss. The event will be in the Classroom of the Van Abbemuseum, which is directly on the right-hand-side, after entering the Museum.

We focus on policies, not on individuals, and we oppose all forms of oppression, like discrimination on political ideas, religious convictions and on the appearance of people: we reject anti-Semitism, anti-Palestinian racism, Islamophobia, homophobia, transphobia, ableism and any ideology based on supposed superiority.


Gesprek over Iran, Palestina, Libanon en Syrië

Op zondag 14 september kun je tussen 14.00 en 15.30 uur deelnemen aan een gesprek uur in het Van Abbemuseum, om je inzichten te delen over de recente aanvallen van de VS en Israël op Iran, Syrië, Libanon en Palestina. We zullen bespreken hoe deze in verband worden gebracht met de Koerdische vrouwenbeweging en hoe ze bijdragen aan de ontmenselijking van de gebombardeerde volkeren. 

De bijeenkomst heeft de vorm van een presentatie (in het Engels) door Yassamine Mather (University of Oxford) en Iman Ganji (Freie Universität Berlin), gevolgd door ruim tijd voor een interactieve discussie (je wordt uitgenodigd om je input in het Nederlands te formuleren). Het wordt een goede bijeenkomst met veel inzichten en gezamenlijkheid.
