In the shared economy of moisture, water acts as the ultimate equalizer, dissolving social hierarchies and reminding us that we don't just inhabit our biotope; we are our biotope.Following the vocal previews at the Dutch National Opera & Ballet's Studio Boekman, the complete performative installation now comes to life at MU Hybrid Art House, Frieda Gustavs’ layered vocal libretto, performed live by a three-part choir, acts as the work’s ritual motor, actively summoning fluid systems and blurring the boundaries between human, moisture, and resonance. These choral chants and frequencies directly drive the physical scenography: an interconnected landscape of water machines, resonant basins, and pulsing pipelines that channel, mist, and circulate water in real time.
