Noah Derksen (CA) - Americana

Noah Derksen is one of Canada’s most distinctive voices, a singer-songwriter whose luminous blend of folk, country, and indie defies easy categorization. Emerging from Winnipeg’s indie scene — an isolated city in the heart of North America — Noah was named a finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country competition and awarded Canadian Folk Music’s Emerging Artist of the Year. An observer of the subtle and the mundane, Noah's genre-defying music will pull you through the portal for just a moment: one where you can feel the music rising above the noise of everyday life.
Noah's recent album, stolen serenades (Feb 2025), is a collection of cover songs that shaped his path as a songwriter — a love letter to the artists and influences who came before. It followed Sanctity of Silence (2023), which earned him a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Songwriter of the Year.
Moving between folk, country, and indie, Noah's music is rooted in the small moments of everyday life — riding the bus, packing boxes, falling in love — and the silent mercies that hold us together.
"Life is about being in community," Noah says, "and I want my music to be a reflection of that."
