In het kader Tussen Kerst en Nieuw een SCALA van evenementen bij Tipo Tango vertonen wij op 29 december een culturele tango film uit India: TANGO MALHAR.
Het programma start om 19:00 uur met in het voorprogramma een korte film (comedie) gemaakt door Kristof Elst (DJ Sabelotodo) genaamd POR UNA CABEZA (finalist in de categorie " Beste kortefilm"op het Parijs Cinema Royale Festival).
Na de films organiseren we nog een Milonga met DJ Erdi, die zo rond de klok van 9 zal starten.
De toegang tot deze avond is gratis maar een vrije bijdrage wordt op prijs gesteld. Dat geld zal als donatie naar India, ter ondersteuning van dit project, worden overgemaakt.
Over de film TANGO MALHAR:
Wanneer Malhar, een riksja-chauffeur, per toeval kennismaakt met de Argentijnse tango, raakt hij verscheurd tussen zijn conservatieve achtergrond en een groep elite dansers uit de stad. Gaandeweg ontdekt hij een diepe verbondenheid, die iets in hem wakker maakt dat zijn alledaagse bestaan overstijgt.

As part of the Between Christmas and New Year SCALA series of events at Tipo Tango, on 29 December we will be screening a cultural tango film from India: TANGO MALHAR.
The programme starts at 7 p.m. with a short film (comedy) made by Kristof Elst (DJ Sabelotodo) called POR UNA CABEZA. (finalist in the category "Best Short Film"at the Paris Cinema Royale Festival).
After the films, we will organise a Milonga with DJ Erdi, which will start around 9 p.m.
Admission to this evening is free, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated. The money will be donated to India to support this project.
About the film TANGO MALHAR:
When Malhar, a rickshaw driver, accidentally discovers Argentine Tango, he finds himself torn between his conservative roots and a group of elite urban dancers. Along the way he uncovers profound connection, awakening something beyond his mundane existence.
