We are excited to invite you to join us in creating another vibrant and memorable program for the 4th edition of the Midsummer Street Festival in Seyðisfjörður.

The nature of the Festival is centered around the meanings and symbols of the summer solstice in diverse cultures and aim to be an occasion for residents in Austurland to meet, share their arts, crafts, local products and food.
This unique event will bring together the community of Austurland in a celebration of this enchanting phenomenon.

Event details: 
Date: Friday, 19th June.
Time: From 5pm to 9 pm
Location: Norðurgata - "on the rainbow street"

Event overview:
Our festival is community based and will take the form of a lively street fair, featuring diverse activities for all ages.
We are inviting participants to contribute in diverse ways:
- Children's corner: Engage the youngest attendees with playful and fun activities.
- Street fair: Showcase and sell your unique products, food or crafts.
- Street performance: Entertain the audience with your talents.
- Cultural rituals: Share rituals from around the world, enriching our festival with diverse traditions.
- Traditional Icelandic games: Lead and participate in games that highlight Icelandic`s cultural heritage.

Please reserve your stall as soon as possible (and no later than 12th June). 
In this edition, we have a plan B location in case the weather does not allow us to be on the street.
We look forward to celebrating the solstice with you in Seyðisfjörður.

Miðsumarsnótt- og götuhátíð á Seyðisfirði: Boð um þátttöku
Það gleður okkur að bjóða þér að taka þátt í að skapa enn eina líflega og eftirminnilega sumarsólstöðuhátíð á Seyðisfirði.

Hátíðin er innblásin af sumarsólstöðuhátíðum ólíkra menningarheima og markmið hennar er að skapa tækifæri fyrir íbúa Austurlands til að hittast og deila list sinni, handverki, staðbundnum vörum og mat með öðrum. Hátíðin er einstakur viðburður sem sameinar samfélagið á Austurlandi í fögnuði yfir sumarsólstöðum.

Stað- og tímasetningar:
Dagsetning: Föstudagur 19. júní
Tími: Frá kl. 17:00 til 21:00
Staðsetning: Norðurgata – „Regnbogagatan“

Um hátíðina:
Hátíðin er byggð á samfélagsþátttöku og verður í formi líflegrar götuhátíðar með fjölbreyttum viðburðum fyrir alla aldurshópa.
Við bjóðum þátttakendum að leggja sitt af mörkum á margvíslegan hátt, til dæmis:
Barnahorn: Virkja yngstu gestina með leikjum og skemmtilegum uppákomum.
Markaðstorg: Sýna og selja einstakar vörur, mat eða handverk.
Götulist og sýningar: Skemmta áhorfendum með hæfileikum þínum.
Menningarlegir siðir: Deila hefðum víðs vegar að úr heiminum og auðga hátíðina með fjölbreyttum menningararfi.
Hefðbundnir íslenskir leikir: Stýra og taka þátt í leikjum sem draga fram íslenska menningararfleifð.
