Zu is een legendarisch experimenteel trio uit Ostia, Italië. Paolo Mongardi (drum, percussie), Luca T. Mai (sax, synths) en Massimo Pupillo (bass) combineren de complexiteit van progressieve rock, de ruwheid van industrial, de precisie van metal, de energie van punk en de vrijheid van jazz.

In 2024 stond Zu samen met de Japanse noiserockband Ruins als RuinsZu op het podium van N9. Het resultaat van die tour is sinds te kort te horen op de liveplaat ‘JAZZISDEAD LIVE’. Nu keert Zu terug met een nieuw studio-album dat begin 2026 zal verschijnen via House of Mythology. De compromisloze, eigenzinnige dubbelaar 'Ferrum Sidereum' belooft een 80-minuten lang episch werkstuk te worden.

Opener van dienst is Stahlmus Delegation, een wisselend collectief. De groep tast permanent de grenzen af van improvisatie. Hun blend van free jazz en rock zit boordevol densiteit en complexe, noisy structuren. Voor de gelegenheid bestaat Stahlmus Delegation uit Farida Amadou (bas), Jean D.L.
