Camp 2026, an extraordinary one-week summer experience designed to unlock the spark of brilliance inside your child. Hosted inside the historic and inspiring Fuller Dome on the SIUE campus, this camp immerses young minds in the visionary ideas of inventor and futurist Buckminster Fuller.Through hands-on S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities, campers will transform from passive learners into active world-changers. They will design structures, explore global ecosystems, and discover how to do "more with less." Our S.T.E.A.M. based activities include primary introductions into chemistry, engineering, physics, environmental science, art and color theory, and personal mindfulness.Our S.T.E.A.M Genius Camp is a part of a new pilot program meant to enhance community engagement and support local youth education initiatives in core learning disciplines. Our camp also has a unique approach of enhancing our camper’s sense of community, self-assurance in critical thinking, and confidence in application of their personal skills.Overview of Activities:Our Campers will participate in a variety of S.T.E.A.M. based activities that are structured to enhance their scientific application, problem-solving skills, self-expression, artistic and abstract thinking, and more!· Physical outdoor play· Art and music activities· Geometric, model building· Plants, gardening, composting· Magnetism, light spectrum· Making Soap· Mindfulness practices· Include a portfolio to hold work and carry home at end· Tie dye shirt creation, tie dye the summer camp shirtDrop-off will occur from 7:30 am - 8:00 am each day when camp is in session.Pick up must occur by 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm each day when camp is in session.The Fuller Dome is located on the SIUE campus just off of Circle Drive right next to Visitor Parking Lot B.
