He also appears regularly at Edmonton’s Yardbird Suite as both an in-demand bandleader and side-person. As an Edmonton resident, he collaborates with many local musicians, most recently appearing on Aretha Tillotson’s debut record “Introducing Aretha Tillotson.” Jacob is the recipient of several awards, including the inaugural Oliver Jones Award (2019), presented by the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and Stingray Music.
