Winterruption YEG prides themselves on showcasing new indie acts before they make it so big we can't ever afford them back (cough cough... Geese.. cough cough). One of the next big indie bands, are the bay area's Sour Widows. Their Exploding in Sound LP "Revival of a Friend" is a masterpiece in indie alt rock harkening back to mid-90s Matador and Touch & Go artists and contemporaries like slint, Bettie Serveert and PJ Harvey. Loud and quiet in sections, its a perfect record.
Supporting the band is Toronto's new alt-rock n roller Keegan Powell & the Jetpacks and Edmonton post rockers Whiling. Trust us, you don't want to miss this.
