About the event

Smut Slam "First" in Edmonton
The Adult Only Storytelling Open Mic

About this Event

Smut Slam, the Internationally Infamous Adult Only Storytelling Open Mic pops into Edmonton for a one night stand at 9910! Smut Slam has been pleasuring audiences and selling out across Canada!

Brace yourselves for stories you never expected to hear on stage, embarrassed by a room full of supportive strangers. Anyone can sign up to share, but only one can win the best story of the night and bring home the prize.

This is the first Smut Slam in this city and it’s going to make an impact. The theme: "Firsts". Stories based on REAL life, REAL lust, REAL Smut

Prefer to stay seated? Observers are always welcome. No need to get on stage to be part of the action, you can anonymously ask a question or share a confession thanks to the FKBUCKET. Yours might get read on stage, and no one will know it was you. Keep an eye out for the BucketBabe! They'll set you up and make sure you're entered for the draw at the end of the show. Someone's confession will win them a toy from Satisfyer. Any questions will be answered by the Smut Slam team, and in some cases we've ended up with professionals in the audience eager to share their expertise.

Smut Slam really is a spectacular event. Whether you get on stage or stay seated, it will be a night you won't forget.

Smut Slam is queer-friendly, kink-friendly, fat-friendly, poly-friendly, trans-friendly, s^x-worker friendly… we’re REALLY friendly, unless you're under 18, go get an lollipop, we'll be around when you're of age.

CODE OF CONDUCT!!!

We welcome people with all types and amounts of seggs experiences to our space. We DO NOT welcome stories involving racism, transphobia, homophobia, seggism or any form of discrimination, fetishization or objectification and CONSENT IS KEY.

RULES For Slammers: Each Story gets 5min, with a 1min grace period. The story must be real and have happened to YOU.

We want storytellers to be themselves and tell us their their story. No costumes, props, musical accompaniment and sorry no notes (unless required for you to take the stage).

Stories are often funny and/or epic to win, but we want to encourage people to consider sharing their sad, poignant, serious, simple and/or 'fail' experiences too.

This SMUT SLAM is hosted by DD Brassiere, award winning storyteller, comedian, burlesque clown and producer of provocative events.

SMUT SLAM is an international production, CREATED in 2011 by Cameryn Moore , an award-winning playwright/performer, sax activist and educator. Find Cameryn at www.camerynmoore.com

WE PRACTICE SAFER SMUT! DO NOT ATTEND if you are feeling poorly! There will be more slams!

PLEASE NOTE: We have a strong Code of Conduct for everyone at a slam. We try very hard to run the event accordingly, and we want attendees to actually pay attention so you can help us create this safer space:smutslam.com
