I spent 20+ years in the trades, starting as the only woman in my automotive technician class. I worked from the shop floor to management to senior management to a company partnership. I have been underestimated, harassed, and told I do not belong. I stayed. I built a career. And for 20+ years I looked for a room like this and never found it.When I started talking to other women, I realized it was not just tradeswomen who needed it.
