As we prepare this Advent to celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, St. Benedict's Ordinariate invites you to join us in hearing the story of God’s loving purpose in our Creation and Redemption through song, prayer, and the Word of the Scriptures.
All are welcome to join us at Paroisse St-Joachim as the choirs of St. Benedict's Ordinariate present our annual service of Advent lessons and carols, featuring all the traditional hymns of the season as well as choral favourites by Robert Parsons, H. Hugh Bancroft, Peter Warlock, Boris Ord, James O'Donnell, Thomas Ravenscroft, and more.
We are pleased to offer this service with full brass quintet, and are thrilled to be joined this year by special guests Dr. Jeremy Spurgeon as our organist, as well as the choirs of St. John the Evangelist (our sister Ordinariate parish in Calgary).
Admission is free, with free-will offerings very gratefully received; fellowship with mince tarts and mulled wine will follow the service in the church hall.
We hope you will join us!
