Xmas Movie night at the LOM: Trading Places - 10 December @ 18:00

If there was ever a movie that encapsulates the triumph of good over evil in this season, it’s this wonderful film. Starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, we love it because the hook relates to fraud in commodity markets (and how many Christmas films can you say that about?). As usual, I will give a short talk before the move at 18:00, noting the financial and not-so-financial backstory of the film. For those unable to join us in person, we will be showing the introductory talk on our YouTube channel and afterwards you are welcome to stream the movie where you are and join us in the Christmas Spirit! We look forward to welcoming you on the night wherever you are – dressing up in a gorilla suit (see the denouement of the movie) is optional!
