Each has its own colour and character, and together they paint a vivid musical canvas.Under the theme Landscapes & Skies, the programme travels through repertoire inspired by the natural world: rolling fields and open horizons, starlit skies, and the lives of the people who make their home within these landscapes. Some pieces are tender and reflective, others playful and full of light. Together they celebrate the quiet beauty of the world around us.The saxophonist is Dr Andrew Somerville, one of Scotland's most active saxophonists and educators. He is joined by collaborative pianist Helena Cheong. Between pieces, both musicians will share short introductions, giving you a closer look at the music and the stories behind it.As the autumn nights draw in, come and spend an evening with music that warms the heart.
