Earlier in the season TCV supported the delivery of a meadow management workshop, showcasing the use of traditional scythes to cut and lift meadow vegetation as part of an annual management plan. Several weeks on we now undertake 'aftermath' management which replicates the grazing that would typically occur on species rich grasslands. The material will be gathered up into invertebrate towers for overwinter habitat before being removed at the start of next years growing season. The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) connects people and green spaces to create healthier, happier communities.
