- **Event Description**: A women’s circle for embodied grief & reclaiming wholeness. Facilitated, trauma-aware reflective gathering.About this EventHello! My name is Gabi and I want to welcome you here.I am offering a 2 hour evening for those who identify as women (non-binary folk welcome) to gather ceremonially, for 10 people, pre-registration required. This will be a gently facilitated, trauma-aware space for women who wish to honour the grief and rage that can live in the body when innocence, safety, or trust have been taken. Together we will gather in candlelight for a structured, contained 2-hour circle. This evening will be shaped by Francis Weller’s work in The Wild Edge of Sorrow, whose teachings on collective mourning and soul-tending inform how I hold circle. The focus is on embodied awareness, supported grief, and reclaiming a sense of inner wholeness and belonging. If you are currently in acute distress, experiencing frequent flashbacks or dissociation, or are in the early stages of processing recent trauma, this space may not feel supportive enough on its own. You are welcome to reach out to me before booking if you would like to check whether this circle feels appropriate for you at this time.Brief Outline:Arrival and groundingOpening Ritual and IntroductionsPaired sharingGrief RitualReflections & carrying forwardIf you are able, please do join for some tea and homemade vegan cake - this time is included in the 2 hours. If this speaks to you, know that you are very welcome. "description": "My name is Gabi. I am daughter of Darcy, daughter of Margarita, daughter of Manuela. I am a first-generation Londoner born to Brazilian parents and currently based in Porty, Edinburgh. My heritage has profoundly shaped my understanding of family, resilience, and the sacred threads of lineage. Growing up between cultures, I carry the joy and complexity of immigrant experience, which informs my deep commitment to creating spaces of belonging, witness, and dignity.I am a musician, a lover of communal ritual, a birth doula, and a psychotherapist in advanced BACP-accredited training, practising in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework. My work is informed by over a decade of personal and professional exploration in therapy, somatic awareness, and feminist spiritual practice, and I draw on these to hold spaces that honour grief, embodiment, and relational presence.I have volunteered as a birth doula for several years with refugee and asylum-seeking mothers, supporting women navigating vulnerability, transition, and healing. I have a particular focus on grief, ritual, and reclaiming dignity. I am also trained in the sacred Mexican practices of Rebozo use and Closing of the Bones under midwife Naolí Vinaver, bringing ritual and embodied care into my work. I am inspired by the work of Francis Weller inThe Wild Edge of Sorrow, integrating collective mourning and soul-tending into my facilitation.Through ceremonial circles and practice, I weave somatic, person-centred, anti-oppressive and ritual-based approaches to create trauma-aware spaces where folk can honour what has been lost, acknowledge what survives, and reconnect with their bodies, inner wisdom, and communal power. My lineage, lived experience and deep engagement with mystical and relational practices inform every aspect of my work, making my facilitation both rooted and expansive."
