Programme Focus – Urban Habitat CreationThis session focuses on small-scale habitat creation with high ecological value, combining multiple features within an urban setting.We’ll be working to:Increase habitat diversityImprove conditions for wildlifeCreate a more resilient and connected greenspace⏰ How Our Volunteer Days WorkWe aim to deliver sessions Tuesday–Thursday each week, although this may vary depending on weather and site needs.Sessions typically begin at 10:00Flexible attendance is welcome? What We’ll Be DoingThis session will involve a mix of practical habitat creation and management, including:Pond management (maintenance, vegetation control, potential liner work depending on progress)Dead hedge creation, using natural materials to form habitat corridors and protective featuresScything and meadow management around key areasWe’ll also explore:How different habitats interact within a small siteWhat species these features supportOpportunities for further enhancement? A varied and engaging session delivering immediate and long-term benefits.?
