What to expect: Cuban Son is a smooth, elegant and soulful rhythm which is known as the 'grandaddy' of salsa. Softer than salsa but no less energetic and engaging, Son is deliciously sensuous without being over the top.  Learn how to recognise the rhythm and main steps with Damarys and Yamil, two professional Cuban dancers with Son in their souls.  Work on a choreography using the steps and turns you have learned and end the masterclass with a good understanding of this popular rhythm with plenty of dance practice throughout the two hours.

Damarys Farres, based in London, is an official UK ambassador for Son Cubano, Cuban Dance and Cuban Culture.  Yamil Cuedo Ferrera, is a well known Edinburgh based Cuban dance teacher and choreographer who for the last 17 years has been actively involved in promoting Cuban dance in Scotland and beyond.
