Screen Printing Workshop

Join me for a hands-on Screen Printing Workshop, where you'll learn how to transform textiles using pre-made designs and/or your own custom paper stencil! This method explores positive and negative space, allowing you to create a one-of-a-kind print.

What to Expect:

A demonstration of stencil-making techniques tailored for screen printing. Fun drawing exercises to help generate ideas and cut stencils for your unique design. A hands-on printing experience with 1:1 guidance. Each participant will print one design during the session. We’ll also go through drying and heat-setting your print to make it washproof. No prior experience needed, just bring your creativity and an open mind!

Garment Requirements:

Light-coloured fabric (we will be using black ink). Flat surfaces work best, T-shirts, shirts, tote bags (avoid seams and pockets)

Natural fabrics like cotton or polycotton (no Lycra or polyester)

Bring your own garment, upcycle and reclaim unwanted textiles!

About Your Tutor:

I’m Karina, a textile and screen printing artist with a BA (Hons) in Design for Textiles

(Fashion, Interior, Art) from HWU. Over the years, I’ve developed the Live Screen

Printing concept, showcased at events such as Iberodocs Film Festival, Radical

Book Fair, and Sett Studios. I have a studio space at Abbeymount Studios, where I

There's an optional donation to go towards the running costs of the classes - this stops people booking up all the free tickets then not showing up!

Eventbrite requires £1 to be entered in the box but we can refund that in cash when you attend the class, or you can put it towards a cup of tea from the kitchen ☕
