Expect insightful discussions, real stories, and fresh perspectives to help navigate challenging times with compassion and strength.The event will explore both hope, and coping, in our rapidly changing and increasingly vulnerable world. Spirituality, mental health, trauma informed care, hope in the context of fragility, compassion and caring for health workers who are providing care for traumatised people in conflict settings will be considered during the day. In addition we will present recent research on access to palliative care including pain and symptom management plus and the experience of healthcare workers. Concepts will be illustrated through a wide range of reflections and examples from challenging situations in conflict affected areas across the world, many of which are affected by increasing climate change and competition for resources.
