• - Dunure Castle: Visit Dunure Beach and Dunure Castle that appeared in Outlander where Claire and Jamie watch young Ian swim out to Silkies’ Island in Outlander. Visiting the castle is currently free of charge.

? About the Tour

This is an exciting journey to the beautiful West Coast to visit historic Scottish Castles and to enjoy some of the most stunning Scottish coastal scenery and walks at Irish Sea and Galloway. Our main destination is the charming, picturesque Portpatrick town and Dunskey Castle. Portpatrick is situated on the far Western coast of the Rhinns of Galloway, you will be breath taken by the views and a line of pastel-coloured houses, stretched along the small bay with cliffs forming the backdrop. This tour also includes visiting the historic Dunure Castle, located on a rocky promontory, overlooking Dunure beach and harbour. Dunure harbour was transformed into the port where Jamie and Claire once again meet Jared, and board the Artemis for their journey to Jamaica. The same harbour also served as the port where Bree and Roger started their journeys to the colonies. We will also visit Troon Beach filmed in Outlander Season 1, Episode 16.

This is truly a fun-filled Day Trip to appreciate dramatic coastal walks on the South West Coast historic castles and movie locaitons.
