Our resident DJ Yogi is a Manchester lad, and of course he cut his teeth at some of Greater Manchester's most famous and ground-breaking clubs. These included The Ritz, Wigan Casino, Rafters, Berlin, Cassinelli's and of course three clubs where a young upstart called Greg Wilson was tearin' up the U.K. DJing manual and mixing vinyl rather than fading in and out of tracks. Greg's residencies at the Hacienda, Wigan Pier and the incredible and packed mid week session in Legends was where cutting edge dance music was on the menu. Tyrone Brunson, Shannon, Oneness Of Juju, Elektrik Funk, Sinammon and Whodini were the artists names on the tip of all the club goers tongues at the time, and Greg Wilson was the man breaking this new electro and electro boogie/funk sound all over the North West. Leg warmers, suede bottomed jazz shoes and French berets were the attire. Poppin' 'n' lockin', fast foot work and spins were the moves on the floor with the urban kids dancing to new imports from America. Who knows where we will be taken musically during this incredible get together at MFSB, house, funk, disco, boogie, it's carte blanche and DJ hedonism all night long? Jus' make sure you arrive early and don't miss a frikin' moment of what promises to be a huge night for the biggest lil' club in the world. Reel to reel and records ready, let's throw down!
