Come as you are and work with us to consider what it really means to identify as a man today.When and where is it?Starting on the 24th of April 2026, we will be hosting weekly 2-hour group sessions at The LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge. Sessions will run for 10 weeks in total, on Friday afternoons from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.What will it be like?Led by a team of experienced therapists, these sessions are designed to provide a safe, supportive environment for individuals to share, reflect, and explore both personal and collective experiences. Together, we aim to foster healing, connection, and a sense of community.Who is it for?This group is for anyone who identifies as a man and who can make at least 8 out of the 10 sessions.We aim to make our sessions as accessible as possible and will be offering accessibility support for those who require it.Is it really free?The event is free to all attendees. However, if you feel you can afford it, we would greatly appreciate any small donation you might like to make to cover the cost of refreshments. If you can't afford it, you are welcome to attend for free and enjoy the tea and biscuits!Who is running the group?This is a collaboration between Room for Therapy and Edinburgh Blue Balls Charity, based on our shared belief that men need more spaces and professional support to talk about their experiences. The group will be run by experienced male therapists from Room for Therapy, and this programme is being delivered with financial support from Edinburgh Blue Balls Charity.Room for Therapy is a Scottish Counselling and Psychotherapy agency dedicated to expanding access to the transformative power of therapy. They are passionate about bringing therapeutic support to new audiences in innovative ways, ensuring that underserved communities have the space and support they need to heal, grow, and thrive.Edinburgh Blue Balls is a weekly men's mental health and cold water dipping group located in Portobello, Edinburgh.
