Come join us at the George Mackay Brown Library, Scottish Storytelling Centre on November 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM (London) for an enlightening discussion about our lived experiences and menstruation.
Periods can hurt, but there is also so much more going on. Ever wondered what your period would feel like as yarn, beads, pom poms, silicone, wood or metal? In this hands-on workshop, you will creatively explore your own unique period sensations and share your stories through playful, fun and surprising crafting. Whether you are brand-new to making or already a skilled maker, come along to shape, feel and build your very own period object!
This event is part of the Being Human Festival, the UK’s national festival of the humanities, taking place 6 - 15 November 2025. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, with generous support from Research England, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
