For this very special night, we welcome a true legend, a pioneer, and an icon of the electronic music scene — Jon Dasilva.

Why This Means So Much to Us
Leithienda was born from a love of house music, the old days, the energy of the dance floor, and the legacy of the legendary rave scene. No name is more intertwined with that history than @jondaJon Dasilva.

His career began at Fac 51 The Hacienda, the birthplace of British House and Techno, and he remains one of the most influential DJs of all time. A mentor to none other than Sasha, Jon helped shape the sound and evolution of DJing, blending acid, electro, and house in ways that were ahead of his time. Even now, he continues to push boundaries, staying fresh, innovative, and deeply connected to underground music.

We can’t think of a better way to close out Edinburgh’s festival season than with a true master behind the decks.

And in the words of Sasha, who regarded Jon as his mentor:
‘Well Jon to me was the most influential DJ in my career really. He showed me the way. Not only did he give me my firstbreaks, my first proper, proper breaks, he taught me how to build DJ sets. I used to go and watch him play from 9 pm and follow the whole night, listening to the way he crafted his DJ sets... his use of a acappella and sound effects was just mind-blowing. He was so ahead of the game. I don’t think there’s another more influential person on my DJing career, really.’
