Launch: The Gospel According to Jesus Queen of Heaven

Join Stewed Rhubarb for the launch of Jo Clifford‘s The Gospel According to Jesus Queen of Heaven: 10th Anniversary Edition. In celebration of the play’s publication, we invite you to listen to readings from Jo and engage with a panel discussion on Queen Jesus’ journey, spanning both activist and spiritual dimensions of the play.

This incredible collection, brought together as part of The Gospel‘s tenth anniversary celebrations, reflects on the play’s remarkable impact, resilience and enduring relevance. The collection not only features Jo’s groundbreaking play, but also contributions from Queen Jesus Productions’ company members, the family of artists and activists who have supported the work over the decade, and a selection of perspectives (academic, queer and spiritual) from those affected by the original production in 2009. As well as a writings from the artists at the forefront of the campaign for trans right in Brazil, this astonishing collection includes a foreword from Jo Clifford herself.
